For Sale

The O gauge layout Bassetts Castle (see layout section) without stock will sadly retire next year after attending Warley 2011 at the NEC in Birmingham.

This is to make room for the building of a new O Gauge layout, and therefore it's open to offers.

The layout was built as a compact exhibition layout and featured in the Gauge O Guild, Small Layouts Book Vol 2. It is based around the idea of a once busy village station half way up a branch line. However it is now the 1950s / early 1960s before nationalisation and the subsequent loss of most of its traffic, it has now become the end of the line acting as a terminus and freight yard serving the requirements of local farmers and small industries. Farms and the local factory are still busily producing whilst the local mine is still supplying coal. The track is Peco, the points are Marcway and their is full interior within the Shop and Signal Box.
